The main hiking trail leading to the summit is known as the Seongpanak Trail, starting from the Seongpanak Visitor Center on the east side of the mountain. Another trail, the Gwaneumsa Trail, begins on the south side. 

Both trails offer distinct experiences, with Seongpanak being slightly less challenging and Gwaneumsa providing a more strenuous ascent.

You can also book a guided tour, which takes care of all the logistical issues that come with scaling a mountain. This tour takes you along the Eoseungsaengak Trail, where you descend to the Jusangjeolli cliff. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional meal before visiting the serene Yakcheonsa temple, renowned for its natural medicinal spring water. 

Then the journey continues to the ethereal Cheonjiyeon Falls, before you finally visit the tranquil green tea fields to sample Jeju’s renowned tea.

Ready to see the best of Eastern Jeju? Your first stop on this fun-filled day trip is Manjanggul Cave, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site that houses a world-class lava tube. Delve into the depths of this 7.4-kilometer-long marvel, formed hundreds of thousands of years ago.

Located in Jungmun, the Jeju JET is an adventure activity in Jeju we just had to share. If you fancy something a little bit different, board the rubber dingy and prepare to scream.

You’ll soar 10cm above the ocean at a whopping 80km/h. And, to end with a bang, you’ll experience a thrilling 360 degree turn. Just remember to bring a poncho – or you will get extremely wet.

This water paradise serves thrills for visitors of all ages with a variety of exhilarating slides. Or, for something a little more laidback, opt to float along the relaxing lazy river.

Pick (and Eat) Your Own Fresh Jeju Tangerines

Jeju is famed for its delicious tangerines – we promise you that regular fruit will never again suffice.

One of the most unique things to do in Jeju is to pick your own tangerines. We could rave about Asian fruit for days (don’t get us started on Hallabong) and Jeju tangerines are no exception.

There are so many tangerine farms on the island – many of which allow you to visit and pick your own fresh oranges. 

The Southernmost Theme Park is the largest eco-friendly certified farm in Jeju, so it’s an excellent place to start. As well as chowing down on delish oranges, you can also opt to take a monorail ride around the park and meet adorable farm animals.
